The AV Foundry VideoForge Digital Video Generator provides HDMI/DVI video signals for testing, calibrating and servicing video displays, including 3D stereoscopic displays. Provides a full range of resolution formats, plus configurable internal test patterns and custom user patterns and images.
An optional Joe Kane Productions JKP 3D stereoscopic test pattern set is also available, with new set of patterns that are very effective in evaluating the performance of 2D and 3D-capable displays.
Features

The Basics

The VideoForge is a portable Test Pattern Generator that can be used independently or incorporated with Spectracal's CalMAN Software. The Forge provides many features that are typical in design and engineering bench-type generators. The VideoForge provides the HDMI® video signals you need for testing, calibrating and servicing video displays, including 3D displays. The VideoForge delivers HDMI® video and RGB monitor signals with 2D and 3D test patterns to give you confidence in your display testing and calibration.

The Video forge helps overcome several common headaches. The ability to use a single portable generator that can easily be moved from site to site is only the beginning. We can also use the VideoForge to verify 3D. The robust pattern set will help with troubleshooting of any display type. This is all on top of the excellent useability when calibrating displays. One unique quality is that it is very relevant for beginner and seasoned calibrators alike.

One feature that makes this such a great generator is the stand-alone user interface. This helps your calibration jobs go smoothly because you can use this screen to easily jump from pattern to pattern on the fly, even while using control software (Spectracal). As a user of this product I always have the control window open for verification as well as the CalMAN ISF.

The VideoForge features three distinct control interfaces.

  • Automated control.
  • Adobe Flash® based control panel for interactive control.
  • Can be controlled with a programmable infrared remote for standalone operation.
